A couple of police cars had just gotten there (one of them passed us on the left shoulder) and people were standing on the side of the road, but Shelly said that she saw someone still in the car.

On our way back north, we saw TWO accidents!

The first was on the right side of the north-bound I-5, and a fire truck was putting out a fire that the two cars were engulfed in!

I don't think I had ever seen an accident before that had flames...lots of smoke, yes, but not actual flames.

Then further north but on the south-bound side, it looked like a semi with a couple of trailers had tipped over. There were already a lot of emergency vehicles on that side.
