Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Muse Margaret calling, and now it is time for you to post until the calling cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TRANSCEND!
-
Over a week ago I asked if someone could scan the inside of the Believe booklet so I can use Richard Sherman's notes and I have no idea if anyone else did some, too. Please send to me ASAP.

BK, I have the "Believe" CD. I can scan and send the booklet since I'm still up. :)
-
Great, thanks, George.

PM with sendspace link has been sent.

Good morning, all!

Good morning, all.

I have a Zoom meeting about the ballet at noon o'clock today. I'm looking forward to it.

All the best.
-
This notes situation has thrown off my equilibrium.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I was able to read the notes a couple of hours ago. I woke up early and laid in bed reading them on the phone.
Now it's as DR Elmore says. No go.

Twenties is where our "highs" have been for days. Seems like weeks.
I guess half (or whatever) of the country's going to be affected by whatever this coming arctic blast is. We'll be in the negatives.

Yes. I haven't been excited about going out to see them in these temperatures at night. Plus, I'd have to drive to a clear location since we're so wooded here. But people's pictures of them, especially over lakes or fields, have been astounding.

We got rain overnight. Happy.
-
Can’t get the TV to work in the classroom.
-
We’re going to do it old school.
-
Two!
-
The notes are still inaccessible. I did have a nice bath, no spills, no falls.
-
Not only can I not read the notes, when I go to the notes page, weird ads show up instead.
-
It depends on which device and which browser I'm using, but I've also gotten warnings about insecure connections, and/or a page with a big ad or possibly another web site entirely.
In stupid layman's terms, it looks to me like that segment of this site has gotten hijacked.
-
I can say, however, that Muse Margaret liked the first 100 pages! And that BK wrote some more pages.
I remember that much from seeing the notes early this a.m.! :)
-
Thank you for conveying some of the notes’ key substantive elements.
-
The notes show up for one millisecond before the ad hijack takes over.
-
For me just the title shows up briefly, then my browser goes to an empty white screen with a weird address on the tab. That's on the Mac. On the other devices I get what looks like pure spam, the kind I wouldn't touch with someone else's ten-foot pole.
-
Just remembered: When did the calendar stop working? Yesterday? Day before? Just checked, and it's still kaput.
-
I can't get to the front page (the page with the notes) at all, even to look at the other selections such as the radio show, archives, etc.
So it's that whole segment, plus the calendar, that are definitely bad.
-
Muse Margaret said, “You’re a great writer.”
But we already knew that, right?
-
Only 30 minutes for lunch, then recess, which has to be indoors because of the rain.

What a weird day at HHW.
-
The link I gave DR Jrand75 is https://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?board=4.0
That's what my HHW bookmark is linked to, so that I always go straight to the discussion board. Of course I never imagined that it would actually save the day the one time the notes page gets hosed.
-
So apparently everyone else who has been here this morning gets in that way as well, and anyone who links up to that main front page is outta luck today.

Obviously, they were working before. Host just contacted me so hopefully he can get it fixed immediately.

Do you want to cut and paste the text of the notes into a post here? A lot of us are anxious to hear what Muse Margaret said.

Here are the notes:
Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much fish, not listening to music, and just writing these here notes in silence. In fact, much of the day and some of the evening was spent writing in silence, as I must have silence when writing. And with very few distractions, I wrote eleven new pages. The main distraction was she of the Evil Eye and having to be out of the home environment until eleven-thirty. This I did by breakfasting at Hugo’s with Robert Yacko, then visiting the mail place for the first time in over a week, only to find junk and one residual for thirty bucks. And as these things go, a little package arrived AFTER I left. Go know. Then I did a quick Gelson’s run and got some chicken, mushrooms, rice, and an onion to make sauteed chicken bits with mushrooms and onions over rice, then came home. I did just a bit of futzing and finessing, then got right into the new pages and wrote six to start. Then I took a ninety-minute snooze break, since I’d only gotten five hours of sleep, then the phone rang and it was Muse Margaret, who’d finished her 100 pages. Getting the first call is a time of trepidation for me because I know that if she doesn’t like something or it’s not working for her, she’ll be completely honest. It’s never been an overall thing, but there have been occasions where she’s had real issues with certain parts of the first batch of pages. But the first words out of her mouth were, and I quote, “You are a great writer.” I cannot tell you how big the sigh of relief was. She loved the characters, the writing, the plot, the way it moves, all of it. She had just a couple of questions but even as she asked them she realized they’re answered in the book. Because I wrote these pages at a much slower pace – not because I didn’t know what I was doing or because I was struggling – that was never an issue – but solely because getting the play ready was mentally and physically taxing for me, I was overtired, and I just didn’t want to write when I was that tired, so it was always three pages here or four pages here, and the occasional seven page day. Now that we’re open, my mind is free and clear and I’m getting back in the pace I like, where things just flow much more easily. I never rush – never have, never will – I go at a pace that works for me, I futz and finesse like crazy as I go, and I don’t really plan much – I just get ideas on where to go as I’m writing – that’s the natural way for me. No blinders on enables me to be completely free to go wherever my mind takes me, which is sometimes to an unusual place I never would have thought of had I had an outline. I do know WHERE the story is going and how it ends, and that’s good at this point. And it’s always fun to tackle a plot device that you’ve been fascinated by for decades – the same was true with GEE. With that one, I’d always believed in and been fascinated with that book’s plot device (those who’ve read it know whereof I speak, those who haven’t read it SHOULD – I don’t get much better than that book). Anyway, it was a great telephonic call, and I immediately wrote another five pages. I may even try for another couple after I post these here notes. Other than the writing, I took an evening break to watch some wacky YouTube videos (and doze off, of course). Oh, and the chicken bits over rice was not bad – a little boring ultimately and a few too many shrooms. All pills were taken and here we are.
Today, I’ll try to be up by ten, I’ll futz and finesse, write new pages, eat, do a quick trip to the mail place to gather up the little package, I have an Amazon Same Day delivery at some point, but mostly I’ll be writing. In fact, the hope is that by the end of the evening I’ll be over halfway through the book. I’ll have a few breaks in between new pages, and then I might try to watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow is more of the same, day and night. Friday is a birthday lunch with the Pearls to celebrate Cindy Pearl’s birthday, then we resume performances that night. Not sure if I’m attending all three shows – I know I’ll be there Sunday for the talkback – but it will all depend on where I am in the book because if I’m heading to the end, I tend to not want to do anything BUT that so that my concentration doesn’t split. We shall see.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, try to be up by ten, futz and finesse, write new pages, eat, do a quick trip to the mail place, have an Amazon Same Day delivery, write more pages, take breaks, and then maybe watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happier than happy to have gotten the first Muse Margaret call.
-
My site got hacked once and it took me a while to diagnose and fix it, and then try to ensure it wouldn't happen again.

Thanks for posting the notes here, bk! Congratulations on the good news from Muse Margaret about your new book.

Had a lovely chicken florentine crepe for early dinner tonight. Thankfully, there wasn’t too much spinach. Topped off by coffee and pistachio gelati.

That reminds me.

Last night we went out to dinner with friends at a restaurant they recommended. It is conveniently near us. Since moving here it has been three different restuarants. To our delight the remodel kept what we liked about the decour and changed the rest. It is rather lovely now and far more comfortable.

We also enjoyed dinner and plan to return.

I couldn't resist trying the artichoke spinach dip made with mozarella making it healthier than most artichoke spinach dips. It was delicious.

Dozed off for a bit - two hours - finally wrote five new pages and will absolutely positively do at least five more. Food on the way. I had a couple of hot dogs earlier that were really good, like the best I've had in ages - a new jernt in Studio City. Expensive, but boy were they tasty.
-
Sometime in the next few days, we're going to take the discussion board off-line during the day for two hours, so they can do what they need to do to get us on a new server with great security.

I'll have advance notice as to day and exact time.

I’m enjoying it very much, but it’s bleak. And photographed in a black and white that makes even the most miserable scenes of winter rains beautiful.

It gave me flack.

And yak.

The hack's a quack.
