Well, you've read the notes, the notes previewed preview two, and now it is time for you to post until the two cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VICTORY!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept well until the 3:30 bathroom break. Followingthat, Stella came for a cuddle, followed by a chilly Annabelle who wanted un der the blankets to warm up, then Thatch showed up to be tickled, teased, and cuddled. Then Annabelle returned, followed by a noisy Thatch who seemed, from the noise and his lamentation and wailing,to be tangled in the window blinds. At that point, it was 5:20, and I decided to get up.
-
DR George, I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mark Milano, whom I knew from the Cast Recording List. I was not a fan of his; he once pestered me for months over an obscure musical theater citation I no longer remember. At one point he posted on his YouTube channel a number of MGM movie clips in which he replaced the dubbed voice of a singer with the actress' actual voice, for example Ava Gardner in Show Boat. His outrage when the copyright holders forced him to delete the segments was loud and long and ridiculous.
-
BK, I'm happy last night's preview went well.
-
DR John G, the Facebook video made me laugh. Annabelle says she should be starring, not Thatch.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I realized I'm familiar with Mark Milano through other clips and dubbings he's issued, a couple of which I think I downloaded.
I hoped I wasn't conflating two people, but DR Elmore's story pretty much clinches it.
-
Vibes to BK & Co. for another op'nin', another show!
This one has me intrigued and I hope we'll get to see video.
Weird is my middle name, so bring it on!
-
Good morning.
-
TOD
Watched Antonioni's The Passenger last night, and will continue with commentaries and extra features about it in the coming days. My shameful confession: this was my first time to see it. I have no excuse.
I'll also be - (finally!) - listening to the new John Wilson Carousel recording that's been sitting here all this time.

TOD:
The Last Showgirl
Maybe I will start Bela Tarr’s Satantango, which is 7 hours long.
-
Opening night vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
I didn't get in on the conversation last night, so I will say that I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about ten years ago.
i take two tablet of Metformin per day to keep it in check.
-
It is 29 degrees with a feels like of 25 degrees. We also have a dusting of snow.
Temps will reach 38 degrees today.
-
Opening night vibes for MR BK & Co.
And more vibes.

I take one tablet of Metformin and one tablet of Jardiance every day.

It may be a stretch
-
but maybe we can get to page 2 before 10 a.m. (Eastern)
-
It's not that close
-
but also not that far
-
But a goal worth reaching
-
can be a goal worth reaching

With a little effort

It can be done.

From DR Singdaw,
LOVED that winter scene of the 3 birds.
Thank you.
-
DR George I'm glad you posted the photo with the shirt you own cuz I didn't see it in that link. Nice shirt.
-
I did see the photos on the FB link.
-
From DR Jrand,
I had a lovely visit with two of my sisters today.
Such fun.
Comparing our memories is most enlightening.
That's nice, and it is interesting how childhood memories from siblings can vary.
-
DR George, thanks for the vibes.

George, thanks for the congrats last night to Keith and for the "nice" regarding the birds.

My greedy brother Macbeth's memories seemed to have morphed into being that everyone else was rotten, and he was the only good one - conveniently resulting in he and Lady Joann Macbeth his wife trying to steal our parents' entire estate. Funny how convenient that can be. :)

More broken-leg vibes for BK and company!
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
Computer is doing an update.
-
I missed the Mark Milano died post - I saw his name but skipped the post because I, like elmore, had several run-ins with him. Still, sorry to hear it.
-
Uh oh, computer restart - back shortly.
-
More broken-leg vibes for BK and company!
Ditto!
-
This is not my day for posting! I blame Donald trump's plans to invade
Poland Greenland.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Broken leggings for the big LA crew!
-
Everything Trump is saying is prime BS and is designed to have everyone not talking about Epstein. It will only get worse in terms of that distraction. Five new things a day.
-
I saw a woman at the market today wearing a big embossed t hat >:(
-
Last night I stupidly let my iPhone update to the iOS 26.2. Now I can't send a new text message to more than one person.
-
A search tells me it is a known bug.
-
I am seeing complaints about this as far back as August, so why the heck are they still using it without fixing the problem!
-
Some of you may know who my friend Kurt Gänzl is. When I first met him in the 1990s at The Drama Book Shop, he was a London-based writer and leading operetta/British musical theatre historian whose books I really treasure. Now he is retired and living in New Zealand with his partner and cats. He just sent me this review of Annabelle & Thatch:

Or maybe 30 years ago.
-
I may watch Pillion in a few minutes.
I will certainly have a full repor on the film

I am so excited for MR BK & CO.
Opening nights.....I remember them.....most wonderful and mysterious....what will happen....what will the response be. All of the work comes down to this!
As Cole Porter so aptly wrote.

Thank you Freddie & Jrand.

I was reading the various problems people are having with this update. Complete conversations missing and not being able to text with android users.
-
I went to ask Keith if he received the text I sent him this morning, he had. As I was showing him how I was missing the box that said to start a new message, I somehow hit something that opened new messages. Now at least I knew it was possible. One of my issues with the new software is that it is harder for me to read everything with my lousy eyes and my little mini phone screen.
-
Looking closer I discovered a little box for new messages (like when you are emailing) vs it telling me where to type a new message.
What a relief that I found it.

~~~OPENING NIGHT VIBES~~~ for BK & Company!!!!
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Now watching David Byrne’s American Utopia, which has been filmed with obvious delight by Spike Lee.
-
Lee had long fought to film Rent. And several of his films have exhilarating musical numbers in them. But his only full fledged musicals are this and Passing Strange, but captured live on stage. I hope he gets his chance.
-
I have a tray of spiced walnuts in the oven.
-
Second load of laundry is in the dryer.
-
And I actually cleared about four feet of floor space.
-
I find it hard to believe I saw American Utopia live twice in one week. It was brilliant. Both times.
-
Alexa has a new voice. She sounds much younger, which I think is going to irritate me. She already sounds like a bratty know-it-all.
-
I wonder if I can change it back.
-
I wonder if we can ditch this page.
-
In one …
-
Five!
-
Here’s the walnut recipe.
https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/spiced-walnuts/
-
I have spent too much money in the past on glazed and seasoned pecans, almonds and walnuts. I don’t know why, but I am enjoying making them for myself.
-
When it’s snack time in class, I can have some of these while the kids eat their treats.
-
Say Her Name has just come on. Still so powerful in the wake of Renee Gold’s murder.
-
Here it is:
-
Starting an old miniseries called Young Catherine about Catherine the Great. Not sure it was good to open with a shot of young Catherine getting excited at the sounds of a horse.
-
As the great Karen Morrow says at the of her sizzling rendition of Cole Porter’s Kate the Great: “She never met a horse she didn’t like.”
-
Not a Cole Porter line, but definitely Ben Bagley at his most impish.
An even smaller world. :)
-
Well, I just ordered Stage Door Records' newest only-100-available limited edition CD: Mrs. Patterson, starting the one and only Eartha Kitt, and it's already sold out.
-
Here's the cover:
-
The girlfriend of one of my suitemates in college LOVED Eartha Kitt. I didn't know too much about her at the time, but over the years, I have definitely developed an appreciation and musical affection for her. :)
-
Back from our opening night - more in the notes, but certainly one of THE most satisfyingly satisfying opening nights ever for many reasons, all of which I'll go into in the notes. They'll be up a little late, but better later than never.
-
Wasn't that clever.
-
Forever and ever.
-
Max, pull the lever.
Let's not sever.
I used to take Metformin, but my previous doctor prescribed liraglutide (Victoza), which is a daily injection, unlike Ozempic, which is a weekly injection. :-\
Hello, Rod!
-
Hiya, G Baby!
-
How was your evening?
-
G Baby was a character in a movie where Keanu Reaves coached a kids baseball team.
-
I lost two games of Phase
20 10 tonight! :D
<SPOO!! Post corrected!>
-
G Baby was a character in a movie where Keanu Reaves coached a kids baseball team.
Nice.
-
My evening was pleasant. A nice dinner nearby, just the family. Then I crashed. Then the kids and I watched Lego Masters Australia. Now everyone is asleep but me.
-
You asked about some card games I mentioned the other day.
Pay Me is a rummy style game where you try to be the first to meld all the cards you have and stick everyone else with a lot of points. The game starts with 3 cards dealt, next hand is 4 etc.
-
Hand and Foot is most fun as a partners game. You have two decks dealt to you. The hand and the foot. You can’t play the foot till you play all the cards in your hand. You have to make a series of dirty and clean (no wild) canastas before your opponents do. Much fun.
-
Much merriment, in fact.
-
I saw a woman at the market today wearing a big embossed t hat >:(
That can be very upsetting, Jane... maybe you need to get something like this hat:
Phase 20? That’s 10 more than I’ve ever played.
